football t-shirt
project overview
this project was to create our own design for a t-shirt. we had creative freedom as this was a personal project that would only be for practice. the items we made would be kept for ourselves or given to a few friends and family.
creative design
this project has bold coloring contrast with a design that is unlike any pittsburg state football shirts. i wanted there to be emphasis in the 'pittsburg state'. part with the 'football' being nicely placed into the football for a nice visual verbal tie. i wanted to keep a simple yet noticeable look to the football player so the customer understands what they are looking at but it isn't over-detailed.
software used
- adobe illustrator

problem solving
throughout the process, i made a lot of changes. the design was changed many times before i decided on a final look. i wanted to make sure that the design looked the way i liked it before i moved on to the next steps of the process. the orientation was what was hardest for me to make look right; a lot of different variations were created, and i manipulated things a lot at the beginning. when i finally had a design finalized, then i had to figure out what combinations i wanted, which made me go back and try a bunch of options on my mock-up to see what looked best. i ended up creating a couple of different color variations to give more t-shirt options.
