Personal Brand
Brand statement
Hi, my name is Bethany Blessent, and I am a senior at Pittsburg State University. I am studying to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Technology degree in Graphic Communications with an emphasis in Graphic Design, UX/UI Web Media, and Packaging Design. I went with a logo that was more on the creative side, a blend of the "@" symbol combined with a lowercase "d" to represent the "at dawn" verbiage. I kept my logo black and white, with my colors as the background. I chose colors that represent me and provide a warm and homey feeling while being visually compared to a sunrise (dawn). I wanted the imagery of a warm orange from the sun coming up, mixing with the deep blue of the night sky while typically getting a semi-soft green from the nature around you. I also made the design choice to keep my text in majority lowercase, excluding the things that require to be capitalized.

Logo breakdown

Problem solving
Creating my personal brand for at dawn designs was both an exciting and challenging process. Representing myself visually through just a few key elements (like specific fonts, colors, and a logo) meant that every choice had to be intentional and meaningful. I spent a lot of time refining these details to reflect not only my style, but also my values and creative approach. Choosing a name was another big hurdle; I wanted something personal yet professional, memorable yet flexible enough to grow with me. Settling on at dawn designs felt right; it captures a sense of new beginnings, creativity, and clarity, which are all things I strive for in my work. Designing a logo that tied everything together and felt authentic to who I am was the final step, and although it took several iterations, I’m proud of the cohesive identity that emerged.
